About Us
Victoria Farm Garden Centre was established in 2003 by Bill and Jean Noble and their sons, Mark and Paul. The Foot and Mouth outbreak of 2001 had decimated the dairy industry, and much of the supporting industries. Bill and Jean sold their remaining milking cows, and bought the premises of an Agricultural Engineer who had decided to sell up.
It was a very steep learning curve to go from dairying to building and running a garden centre from scratch. However, hardwork and a passion for plants and gardening, (and Bill's antiques and bygones!) saw the business gradually build into the well loved community it is today.
So never being a family to rest a while, in 2017 they bought Selby Garden Centre, as the previous owners were wanting to retire. A programme of renovation and expansion was begun, and is still ongoing...
